• Admission shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit list of different categories/caste of candidates. 
• Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit cum interview. There shall be a combined merit list indicating a merit position for the SC / ST/OBC A/OBC B candidates. Merit list of Physically Challenged candidates will be placed based on horizontal reservation. 

The selection for admission to the course shall be made strictly on the basis of performance of the eligible candidates in the Written Admission Test to be conducted by the University. Admission Test shall be of 100 marks consisting of English & General Knowledge.

Citizens of India who have obtained any of the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for the course: 

• Medical Biochemistry/Medical Microbiology:- MBBS/ B. Sc. (Hons.) in any branch of Life Science including Biochemistry/Physiology/Microbiology/Botany/Zoology degree with a minimum marks of 50% in aggregate or B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry with Biological Science as one of the passing subjects for the General category, 45% for OBC-A, OBC-B, and 40% for SC and ST. 
• Candidates who are already pursuing any other course are not eligible for admission. However, candidates completing the course or resigning from the course before the date of counseling will be eligible to get admission. 

• A candidate is eligible to apply for admission to the course if he/she secures not below 45% of the total marks at the Bachelor’s Degree examination under 10+ 2 + 3 pattern. 5% marks will be relaxed for SC/ST candidates.
• There is no age limit for the admission.
