Admission to various programmes of the CUTN is done through the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET)

10+2 years of schooling from a recognized board (CBSE or equivalent)

Either passed or appeared for Final exams at XII level before Admissions Test 

XII Standard: 55% or more (English) and 60% or more (Aggregate including English) (If not appeared for XII Standard exams, X and XI Standard marks will be considered) 

Age: preferably below 19 years as of 31st June in the year of admission

A Pass in the Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India with Economics /Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subject at the Hr. Secondary level with 60% marks in aggregate for General Category, 55% marks for OBC (Non-creamy layer) and 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates. 

The students will undergo first three years of study at CUTN campus and the rest of the two years either at CUTN campus or at MSE, Chennai as per their choice. The allotment of specialisation at MSE is based on their CGPA during the first three years of study at CUTN.
