    Admission Details

    Candidates seeking admission in the Institute through WBJEE or JEE MAIN examination with a valid rank and required marks in ‘10+2’ level or equivalent examination from any recognized Board / University are eligible to apply. In all B. Tech courses, 90% students of approved intake capacity will be admitted on the basis of merit position secured by the candidate in the Joint Entrance Examination of the State (WBJEE). Students on the basis of merit position in JEE MAIN may also be admitted up to 10% the total intake. The candidate should satisfy the stipulated standard of physical fitness with good mental and physical health.

    Candidates are required to appear at a written test conducted by the “West Bengal Board of Examination for Admission to Engineering, Medical & Technology Degree Colleges”. The final selection of the candidates for admission is made through counselling conducted by the “Central Selection Committee”.     Eligibility Criteria

    • Candidate must have passed or be appearing for the Qualifying Examination, i.e., the ‘10+2’ or equivalent Exam. With Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application / Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all three subjects as stated above in regular class mode. For Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects.
    • Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PWD) in the above three subjects taken together.
    • Must have passed English in the ‘10+2’ Examination with at least 30% marks.
    • The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as on 31 December of the Admission Year. There is no upper age limit.
