    The selection is based on the entrance exam and as per the rules and regulations framed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Karnataka State Candidature Candidates:

    • Must be Indian Nationals.
    • Should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Mathematics or Biology.
    • Must have secured at least 45% marks (40% for candidates from Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sections belonging to Karnataka State) in the above subjects taken together.

    All India Candidature Candidates:
    • Must meet the same academic qualifications as Karnataka State candidates.
    NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, Foreign Nationals:

    • Should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology.
    • Must have at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together.
    • Must meet any other criteria declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

    For Lateral Entry into the Second Year (For Diploma Holders):

    • For Karnataka State Candidature and All India Candidature Candidates:
    • Must be an Indian National.
    • Should have passed a Diploma Course in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education or the Pharmacy Council of India or the Central or State Government.
    • Must have at least 45% marks.

    • Candidates belonging to all categories except Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes for admission to the B.Pharmacy course must have obtained individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology or Mathematics both in theory and practice with a minimum of 35% marks.
