Admissions to the Institute are made along with the other engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Telangana.

• 70% of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Telangana.
• 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.

Minimum eligibility criteria for admission into B.Tech. Aeronautical is:

• Applicant must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent. Students having any other optional subject in place of Chemistry are also eligible. E.g. Computer Science in place of chemistry along with Physics and Mathematics.
• 3 years Engineering Diploma in the relevant stream. (i.e. Diploma in Mechanical, Production & Industrial, Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Telecommunication Engineering, and Aeronautical Engineering. Students with this qualification are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of the Aeronautical Engineering Program.
• B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students with this qualification are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of the Aeronautical Engineering Program.
• As per the AICTE norms, the candidate must have a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 in PCM or equivalent or in any of the above qualification requirements.

• The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the B.Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, Govt. of Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
  • 70% of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy (Veterinary etc.,) Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) conducted by Govt. of Telangana.
  • 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates, filled based on merit as per the guidelines of TGCHE, Hyderabad
  • In addition to the above, 10% of the seats on convener quota are admitted under EWS category
  • In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Telangana.
