    Candidates are required to appear at a written test conducted by the “West Bengal Board of Examination for Admission to Engineering, Medical & Technology Degree Colleges”. The final selection of the candidates for admission is made through counselling conducted by the “Central Selection Committee”.     Eligibility Criteria

    Applications are invited from candidates, both male and female who have passed/appeared this year in the Higher Secondary(10+2) or it’s equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and vernacular or any other fifth subject. The general candidates must have to secure at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30% marks in English under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination of a University/ Recognized Board/Council. The selection of the candidates who have appeared will, however, be subject to their passing of the said examination before admission.

    Candidates seeking admission in the B.Tech courses are required to pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination of a recognized Board or University with 45% marks in PCM (40% for SC/ ST) and qualify in the Joint Entrance Examination and get admitted through Online Web-based e-counseling to be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) under the purview of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Benga, AICTE, WBUT.


    LATERAL ENTRY: Diploma Holders in Engineering/ Technology, as well as B.Sc qualifying in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for lateral entry (WBJELET,) are eligible for admission into the third semester (2nd year) of B.Tech. courses through Central Counseling by CSC (E&T) up to a maximum limit of 10% of the approved intake in each stream.
