    Admission based on Entrance Examination: KEA / COMEDK.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Admission to First-Year

    Admission to the first year shall be open for the candidates who:
    Have passed the Second year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Science Subjects.

    • 10 + 2 of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) / ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education)
    • Any other equivalent examination recognized by the University.

    The candidate should have secured an aggregate of 45% with Physics and Mathematics as a Parth of the subjects, along with one of the following subjects:

    • Chemistry
    • Biotechnology
    • Computer Science
    • Biology and Electronics

    Eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC are 40% in optional subjects. The candidate must have appeared and cleared English as one of the subjects.

    Admission to Second Year (Lateral Entry)

    • Diploma or equivalent degree holders can apply for admission in the second year provided that they have secured 50% in their final year examination. For SC/ST and OBC, the criteria are 45%, in case the candidate has secured less than the eligibility, and must clear the bridge courses as specified by Bangalore University.

    • A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 patterns of examination (equivalent to the two years Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at CITECH.
    • The eligibility for admission is 45% in the case of the General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in the case of SC/ST, Category-1, and OBC Category candidates.
