I belongs to oec category under obc in keam. In annual income does it include salary?? what is the maximum salary so that I will get oec reservation??

Piyush kesarwani 26th Apr, 2022

Hello aspirant,

I would like to tell you that if you belong to the OBC category, then to get the benefits of OBC reservation in KEAM, your parent's annaul salary must be less than 8 Lakhs Ruppees. In order to qualify as an OBC non-creamy layer candidate, the applicant's parents' annual income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs . Salary and agricultural income are not to be considered as income for calculating annual income for creamy layer status.

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing great....!!!

Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) is an entrance examination series for admissions to various professional degree courses in the state of Kerala, India. It is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala.

In Kerala, admission to all medical courses including Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Agricultural, Fisheries, Unani, Veterinary, Sidha, etc. will be based on the NEET ranks. So those candidates who wish to be considered for the allotment in medical courses should be qualified in NEET and are required to apply for KEAM.

I was born in Maharashtra and lived there till 4 years old. Now Im living in Kerala for a while now, which exam should I attend, Maharashtra entrance exam or Kerala engineering entrance exam

Piyush 17th May, 2022

Hello aspirant,

You must appear for that entrance exam for the state you have the domicile for. Means that, if you have a domicile for the state of Maharashtra, then you must appear for MHTCET, otherwise if you have the domicile certificate for Kerela state, then you must appear and give KCET exam.

This is important because with the domicile state certificate you can easily get reservation as a Home state quota and could also get a chance for getting the government colleges of that state under home state quota. Although, you can give state level entrance exams in other states as well, but since if you don't have the domicile certificate for other state, then you will have to satisfy yourself with the private colleges in that state.

Further, to know more about the Necessary information and complete details regarding the KCET and MHTCET entrance exam, then you can follow the below mentioned link to know more about it : https://www.careers360.com/exams/mht-cet

Which is easier Kerala engineering entrance exam or Maharashtra entrance exam

Piyush 17th May, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Both of the above mentioned engineering entrance exam are easier. Both of them are the state level engineering entrance exam. One is called KCET (Kerela Common Entrance Test), while the other is called MHTCET ( Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test ). From both of these, MHTCET is easier, I think.

MHT CET is a state-level exam conducted once every year . It is to provide admission in Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Management, Architecture, Hotel management, and catering technology courses. KCET is a state-level exam conducted once every year. It is to provide admission to engineering.

The overall difficulty level of the MHTCET exam is easy to moderate . There were not many difficult questions asked, and 60% of question paper in all shifts or slots was easy, as evidence from the previous year MHTCET question papers.

Further, to each and every details regarding the KCET and MHTCET Entrance exam, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more about this in detail : https://www.careers360.com/exams/kcet

I have applied for neet 2022 and keam In keam I applied for medical allied and pharmacy is it necessary to write exam I dont want pharmacy courses

Karishma Sawhney 17th May, 2022

Hello aspirant,

The NEET exam is conducted for admission in MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS courses. The NEET-UG exam is on 17th July 2022 whereas the KEAM examination is on 3rd  July 2022. If you do not wish to give any of the exams, you can completely do so. If you wish to just focus on the medical exam (NEET) and not the Pharmacy exam of KEAM, you can only attempt either of the exams. However, the registration fee for any of the exams will not be refunded, even if you do not attempt the exam.

Here are a few mock tests you can attempt to ace the KEAM exam https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/keam-mock-test

Mock tests for the NEET exam- https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-mock-test-2022

Hope it helps!

lneed arank below2000 how much mark should I score for keam My pcm score is 292/300

Moumoyee Chakraborty 6th Apr, 2022

Hey Young Aspirant!!

Firstly warm wishes for your board exam's score as it is going to help you out to secure a good rank through Keam. Now next comes your marks to obtain a better rank, for that you need to have score around 700 out of 960 to possess a rank within 10000, specifically to have a rank within first 2000 you need a score better than that. Though it is just a prediction the real score can be accurately predicted after the cut off is released.

Good luck!!!

If i get 75% in pcm how much should I score in keam to get under 10k rank

Moumoyee Chakraborty 1st Apr, 2022

Hello Aspirant

If you think of the possible score to get a good rank under 10k, based on the previous year's cut off trends you will get the brief overview that with 75% marks in 10+2 you need to score 700-800 out of 960 to get rank within first 5000 more specifically. Considering the previous aspects it is just an assumption but the ultimate cut off and the results, rank will depend on

  • The number of students who appeared in the exam
  • The difficulty level of exam
  • The vacancy seat matrix

Good luck!!!

is applying for keam compulsory for getting admitted to govt medical College under neet

Anurag Khanna 2nd May, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See you should apply for KEAM only if you are seeking admission in government medical colleges of Kerala through NEET UG score. For other states you have to take part in the respective state counselling authorities and if you are seeking admission in government medical colleges through AIQ counselling then you should register for MCC AIQ counselling.

Also note that you will only be eligible for government medical colleges through the respective state quota only if you have domicile of that state where the Institution is located.

I hope this information cleared your doubt.

Good Luck!!!

i belong to LC category and can i get admission for mbbs in any self financing colleges in kerala... with a rank of 18520 in keam..do Lc category have any type of special reservations?

Piyush 18th Mar, 2022

hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

I would like to tell you that there is no LC Category reservation in KEAM. Class based reservation of seats in KEAM 2022 is only applicable for candidates that qualify as Keralites .

Further, i would like to tell you that you can get admission in self financing colleges in kerela through KEAM. Some of the seats on offer through KEAM 2021 are meant for reserved category candidates as per norms of the state government. To qualify and thereby become eligible to figure in the rank list for MBBS, candidates must obtain a minimum of 50th percentile in NEET UG 2021 .

Further, the KEAM cutoff varies every year and is differemt for different category student. It depends on various factors like ;

  • Difficulty level of KEAM 2022.

  • Total Number of Seats Available.

  • Total Number of Applications Received.

  • Previous Years Cutoff Trends.

Further, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more about the KEAM Cutoff trends : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/keam-cutoff

I hope that this will help.
