What are the tie breaker rules specified by the authorities when two or more candidates get the same marks in UPSEE 2020?

Prabha Dhavala 16th Mar, 2020
When two or more candidates end up securing the same scores in UPSEE 2020 then the authorities use the following tie-breaking rules: Candidate who has lesser number of incorrect answers will be ranked higher. If the tie is not resolved, then the candidate who has more marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry section of Paper 1 will be allotted a higher rank. If the tie still remains, then the candidate who is older in age will be ranked higher. If the candidates are of the same age, then the rank will be allotted on the basis of the application number i.e., the lowest application number will be ranked higher in the merit list.

AnkiT KunwaR 15th Mar, 2020
Hello Aspirant,

UPSEE is not a very difficult examination.Younjust need to be smart with the preparation because sometimes this exam is very unpredictable.
First thing you need to do is get any book which has past 10-15 years question papers with solutions.Go through it and write down your strong and weak areas and the prepare accordingly.
Devote 6 hours daily.
You concept and basics should be crystal clear and if its not then work in it. Just complete the ncerts and one basic book for PCM each and you will crack the exam with flying colors.

I hope this helps.

Prakarsh Kaushik 12th Mar, 2020

Hello,

NCERT is a must book for concept building. Refer to NCERT first then move one to practising MCQs. For cracking any competitive exam practising as many questions gives you a upper hand.

You can take reference from other books like HC Verma, DC Panday, Resnick Halladay, IR Irodov etc for numericals and theory after going through NCERT.

Sunil Kumar singh 12th Mar, 2020

Hi dear,

If you have passed from any institute or school from UP and you don't have domicile of UP then you are eligible for UPSEE However, such candidates will be considered for admission to only 20% of the sanctioned seats available in private institutions affiliated to Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Other than this, such candidates will not be offered reservation benefits. You can check more details here
