At the time of registration if you have mentioned that you have passed from CBSE then you will have mention your CBSE Marks.

because before admission there is a process is processed which is called Document varification.

For 5000 rank in UPSEE exam  you have to score somewhere around 450 marks . I would suggest you  to aim for higher rank if you are a candidate of general category and want to go for good oppotunities with safe side .

it is difficult to compare these two exams as the trends vary every year.in some year kiit is tougher while in the other year upsee is tougher. ncert is sufficient for a decent score but for cse you need to read some other books which have a good level
