To get into NIT a aspirant needs to get minimum of 96 percentile.  So it will be difficult for you to get into NIT.  

However you can try for IIITs or other centrally funded university

There is no specific cutoff  when it comes to getting admission in medical college via Neet. It changes every year depending upon the difficulty level of paper. But on an average a score of 460 to 590 is best for admission in both private as well as govt. seat.

It's very tough that your son gets admission in Thapar university in CSE branch.  Last year it was around 127 marks for the 3rd round.  This year it's expected to be around the same only.
