The calculation for cutoff marks wont vary. Its always (Maths +((physics+chem)/2)), but apparenty the cutoffs for top colleges are reduced . Please check TNEA website for more details.

If you are in top 20 percentile than you can take admission ; so you should go for counseling and have a look of it .

Because one of the criteria 75% or top 20 percentile must be fulfilled to get admission.

Yes you can sit for counseling of Appgecet. You have to get 30marks ie 25percent of the total matks. So sit for the counseling. Reach your goal. Congrats for being gate qualified.
