Counselling
Dear candidate
Whether you get a seat in NITs depends on many factors like your rank, category and cutoff rank of NITs as you did not mention about your category by considering it as general with 144 marks you won't be able to get a seat in any NITs because your rank will be more than 70,000 according to the previous year rank trends but the number of seats in NITs are only 1000 so it is very difficult to get seat in NIT in any branch but visit the below mentioned link to predict what rank you can expect by filling the details in the form and submitting

Hey Sathvik
It depends on which exam you are talking about however genrally it will not matter much. You can give the exam and get the result. You will get the scores and rank according to the performance and will be called for counselling. You can clear the mistake during counselling (it is just a mistake in your name). During counselling they might ask you to prove it is really your marks or rank, you can show your admit card at that point (at the time of registering for exam they would have asked you for your id proof hence you can show the same id proof at the time of counselling like your aadhar card). I hope your doubt is clear. All the best!

Hello dear student,
In first round if if you get a seat and you are not comfortable with that there is a free exit in first round of counselling for Neet you will automatically get seat in second round of counselling while there is no such provision in second round of counselling then you have to take the seat whichever will be allotted to you. if you think on first round of counselling that you can get a better seat in a better medical college then you can choose for free exit from first round of counselling.
Thank you
Hello Sukesh,
If your seat is confirmed in first round but if you get a seat in better college in second round then you can opt for that seat and can cancel the seat you got in first round. But, if you got a seat in the good branch of IHM in the first round and you do not wish to leave it then advise is not to attend the second round of counselling and continue in the college you already got.
Good luck and stay safe!
