Aman, the usual norm is that the details on the 10th marks sheet are considered for admission and counselling purposes because that also serves as the proof of your date of birth. Now because the rest of the documents have full name, you should get an affidavit done stating that both these names belong to your father. That way even when you appear for counselling and admission, you will not face any issues.

See if your marks are great and there is no issue with your eligibility criteria,  always go for the Government college as per my experience.  A degree from a government college has much more value than a private Institute.  Even if they are teaching a lot more but an interviewer will go for a government college student more often

Fee of government medical colleges offering PG medical courses just starts from 10k and goes up to 1 Lakh per annum which is way way less than the typical private institutes.

While deciding a medical college we must also keep in mind particular branch of that medical college.

see your score is decent enough to get tier 1 colleges, now as you have mentioned your domicile is bihar, that means if you go for state counselling in punjab or orissa, you need to apply for other state quota seats. now its some times difficult to get top colleges as other state quota seat matrix is less than domicile quota seats.

now after all the process is completed and exam is conducted successfully. Now there is no way to change your category. You can use your general category rank for counselling process. if you use your reservation category then your application will get rejected as you have given wrong details.

So apply for counselling using your general rank. Apply for All india counselling and use AIR for counselling.
