Hi there,

According to me you should apply to best privare colleges according to marks.I think your marks are not too bad or you should go for bds rather than wasting an another year.I donot suugest you to prepare for neet once again. You can also go for some other professions like you can either do Bse.
Else is upto you, but I suggest you to not waste another year.

Should i take a drop year for CLAT?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 1st Jul, 2019
Hey Anusha.
It's good to know that now you're determined to prepare well for CLAT. But a better option than taking a Gap year is to join a college and simultaneously prepare for CLAT. There are many people who join a college, even a law college or maybe pursue a BA or any other graduation course and then prepare for CLAT. Because in case things are not as favourable the next year then they do have a back up option and 1 year also is saved. Now this also depends on what other options you have. If You are getting admission in any decent law college or any good college for BA or any such graduation degree you can go for that and prepare for CLAT simultaneously. There are many people who've cleared CLAT in the second attempt after joining a middle NLU/ other decent law college and preparing. So if you have a good backup option like this only then, you should go for preparing simultaneously. If you don't then you can consider a drop.

Im Belong from OBC .This Year I Want to prepare AIIMS&NEET. So Should I Just Make Preparation Of NEET&AIIMS Or 12th Again with Foundation?

Shivangi Student Expert 1st Jul, 2019

Dear Aspirant

As you have 57.40% in RBSE 12th board, you'll be not eligible for AIIMS 2020 as the combined percentage of English+Physics+Chemistry+Biology should 60% for OBC as per eligibility and for NEET, minimum combined percentage of PCB should be 40%. You can improve your marks by giving RBSE Improvement Exam for which you must visit the rbse website regularly and can also consult with your school authority.

You have two options, either prepare for AIIMS & NEET2020 with improvement exam or you may take only improvement exam and after that you may can give AIIMS & NEET in 2021.

Note: The improvement exam can only be taken in the succeeding year only after passing the subject in Class XII.

You may comment for more queries.

Hope this helps you.

Which books I need for preparation of NDA exam?

Abhinandan Thakur 30th Jun, 2019

Hello aspirant..

Actually it carry from person to person..but my suggestion will be

If u have ample amount of time ...you should go through the NCERT books for Maths portion

High School English by Wren &Martin  for the English portion

Monoroma Yearbook for the GAT portion

But if u have less time in your time u can go through the complete package of (math+gat+gk+previous yr ques) I would recommend ArihantPathfinder..

Lastly you should brush up your ability by following the previous year questions of NDA

Preparation tips for scra exam during graduation ,its benfit

Deepika Student Expert 30th Jun, 2019

dear aspirant,

Start with Social Science subjects. I would suggest you to go through History, Civics and Geography books of 6th, 7th and 8th standard. You don't need to go through every detail, but a quick revision would definitely give you an edge over others. I prepared for NTSE and hence it was easy for me to revise these subjects.Next revise the PCM subjects. The questions are not really hard, but you will need to solve them quickly, and not spend much time on the ones you are stuck at. The number of questions, especially in Mathematics section, could be overwhelming. Finally, brush up you knowledge in current affairs. It will not only help you through the written test but also during the interviews.

hope it helped.

If I have 6 years gap after B.Tech from UPTU but I score 99% percentile in CAT 2019. Will I get admission in IIM Lucknow?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Aug, 2019
Dear Himanshu, you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, IIM Lucknow has a 3 stage Selection process; Written Ability Test, Personal Interview and Final Selection. Candidates will be shortlisted based on CAT score, Academic performance and other Criteria. You havent mentioned if you have been working for the past 6 years because PGP-SM course prefers a minimum of 24 months as  working experience.  In 2018, the percentile cut offs have been as follows:
                              QA                DLR            VARC        Overall
General               85                  85                 85                90
NC-OBC              77                  77                 77                82
SC                        55                  55                 55                70
ST                        50                  50                  50               65
PwD                    50                  50                  50                65

For being shortlisted for Written Ability Test and Personal Interview, the following chart is followed on a composite score of 100:
Scaled CAT Score:                                   60
12th marks:                                              10
Graduation:                                              10
Work Experience:                                   10
Diversity Factor for Academics:           5
Diversiry Factor for Gender:                  5

Method of scoring can be found on the official website. Those candidates who are eligible after these 2 roumds are called for Written Ability and Personal Interview Test. The final score is calculated based on this scale:

  • Common Admission Test:  30
  • Academic Performance (12th  + Graduation): 5+5
  • Diversity Factor (DF academics +DF gender): 5
  • Work Experience: 5
  • Writing Ability Test: 10
  • Personal Interview: 40
  • Final Score: 100

The minimum marks that you need to score in Personal Interview are 12 out of 40. Considering all this, if you score 99% in CAT, you will be eligible for further rounds. And you should score good in every round of interview to really get into IIM Lucknow.
