Yes,but upto a limit.
In JEE,there is 45-50% weightage to 11th topics.
So,scoring a good rank requires knowledge of these topicd.
But to just clear cutoff of JEE,It can be done by 12th topics.

First of all, complete your NCERT then you can consider standard books like Dinesh objective's theory. It is advisable to give your maximum time to NCERT as compare to other reference books because most of the NEET syllabus is based on NCERT so plan your preparation accordingly.

IF you are yet in 11th,try to get ease in board topics during your vacation through coaching. Then spend next one year like 50% cet and 50% board. Spend atleast 1hr for CET everyday . Don't neglect board just by reading Cet. Never forget that board topics are equally important
