can category may be corrected in correction window of JEE Main (2025) session 2 from GEN (session 1) to OBC ?

kumardurgesh1802 12th Feb, 2025

Hello Santosh,

No, category correction is not allowed in the JEE Main correction window. If you selected General in Session 1 , you cannot change it to OBC in Session 2.

What Can You Do?

  1. If you have an OBC certificate but selected General by mistake, contact NTA Helpdesk immediately.

  2. If correction is not allowed , you will have to continue under the General category for admissions.

  3. During JoSAA counseling , category changes are also not permitted , so ensure all details are correct before applying.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

can i get in NIT with 67 @ Jee main 2025 with SC ?

Prachi Kumari 12th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Securing admission to a National Institute of Technology (NIT) with a JEE Main 2025 score of 67 as an SC category candidate may be challenging. Consider the following points:

  • Qualifying Cutoff : The expected qualifying cutoff for SC candidates in JEE Main 2025 is around 65 marks.

  • Admission Prospects : While a score of 67 may meet the qualifying cutoff, gaining admission to NITs, especially in preferred branches, is competitive. Higher scores improve chances for desirable courses and campuses.

  • Alternative Options : If NIT admission is uncertain, explore other reputable engineering institutions or state colleges where the cutoff scores may be more attainable.

  • Improvement Opportunity : Consider preparing for the next JEE Main attempt to achieve a higher score, thereby enhancing admission prospects in subsequent counseling rounds.

You can also use the JEE Mains College Predictor Tool to predict which college you can get based on your score.

Hope you find it useful !

Prachi Kumari 12th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can attempt NEET in Jaipur with domicile and caste certificates from West Bengal. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Exam Center Choice : NEET allows candidates to choose any exam center across India, regardless of domicile. You can select Jaipur as your exam city.

  2. Domicile for State Quota : Your West Bengal domicile and caste certificate are valid for West Bengal’s 85% state quota seats, not Rajasthan’s.

  3. All India Quota (AIQ) : You are eligible for the 15% AIQ seats in any state, including Rajasthan.

  4. Rajasthan State Quota : You cannot claim Rajasthan’s state quota without its domicile.

  5. Documents for Admission : Ensure you have valid ID proof and NEET scorecard for counseling.

Wishing you the best !
