I get 66 percent in 12th boards and 68 percentile in jee mains so can I get addmision in ms university baroda for btech cs branch

Prachi Kumari 13th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Admission to the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda is competitive. The university primarily considers GUJCET scores for admission , with JEE Main scores also being accepted.

Based on available data, the expected GUJCET cutoff ranks for the CSE program are as follows:

  • General Category : Opening Rank: 73; Closing Rank: 761.5.
  • EWS Category : Opening Rank: 763; Closing Rank: 848.
  • SEBC Category : Opening Rank: 1170; Closing Rank: 1511.
  • SC Category : Opening Rank: 2361; Closing Rank: 3339.
  • ST Category : Opening Rank: 3533; Closing Rank: 12257.

Given your JEE Main percentile of 68%, it's advisable to check the corresponding rank and compare it with the cutoffs. Additionally, ensure you meet the minimum eligibility criteria, which includes having at least 65% aggregate marks in your 12th standard.

Wishing you the best !

i got 82.44 percentile in jee mains belonging to general which college i can apply for

Kenma Kozume 11th Feb, 2025

hi ,

With an 82.44 percentile in JEE Main 2025 under the General category, your estimated All India Rank (AIR) would be approximately between 1,50,000 to 2,00,000 .

While this percentile may not secure a seat in the top-tier National Institutes of Technology (NITs) or Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), you still have opportunities in several reputable institutions. Here are some colleges you might consider:

National Institutes of Technology (NITs):

  • NIT Agartala: Offers various engineering disciplines and has had cutoffs in this percentile range in previous years.
  • NIT Meghalaya: Known for its growing infrastructure and faculty, it may have seats available for your percentile.
  • NIT Raipur: Offers a range of engineering programs and has had cutoffs around this range.
  • NIT Jalandhar: Has multiple engineering branches and may have availability for your rank.

Other Notable Institutions:

  • IIITM Gwalior: Specializes in Information Technology and Management.
  • IIIT Allahabad: Renowned for its IT programs and may have seats available.
  • KIIT University: A private institution with a variety of engineering programs.
  • BIT Ranchi: Offers diverse engineering disciplines and has a good placement record.
  • Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar: A well-known private university with extensive engineering courses.

Please note that admission cutoffs can vary annually based on factors like the number of applicants, seat availability, and overall exam difficulty. It's essential to participate in the counseling processes and keep an eye on the official announcements of these institutions.

hope this helps

I am getting 93.55 percentile in jee mains 2025 session 1. Is there any chance of getting good branch in dtu with Delhi domicile

Mitali Sharma 13th Feb, 2025

Hello

With 93.55 percentile in JEE Mains 2025 , your CRL (Common Rank List) would be around 65,000–75,000.

Since DTU reserves 85% of seats for Delhi domicile, you have a chance of getting branches like Mechanical, Environmental, Biotechnology or Production & Industrial Engineering in later rounds.

For top branches like CSE, IT, ECE or AI . a percentile above 98–99 is usually required.

You can improve your rank in JEE Mains Session 2 or explore other GFTIs and NSUT for better options.

My Daughter got 93 percentile today in JEE mains Session 1. I want to know if she can opt for Mechanical in which NIT or GFITs colleges. Home state is Telangana.

kumardurgesh1802 11th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

With 93 percentile in JEE Main (General Category), your daughter has a moderate chance of getting Mechanical Engineering in some lower or mid-tier NITs and GFTIs , especially through home state quota .

Possible Options:

  1. NIT Warangal (Home State) – Difficult but possible in later rounds.

  2. Other NITs – NIT Mizoram, NIT Sikkim, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Nagaland.

  3. GFTIs – Good chances in IIEST Shibpur, Assam University, Sant Longowal Institute (SLIET), and Mizoram University .

  4. CSAB Special Rounds – Can help in securing a better seat.

For a better idea, check JOSAA cutoffs after session 2.

Several countries offer MBBS programs without requiring NEET, making them attractive for Indian students. Russia, China, and the Philippines provide affordable medical education with globally recognized degrees. Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan offer low-cost tuition and good infrastructure. Georgia and Armenia have English-medium programs with simplified admission processes. Some universities in Germany and the UK accept students without NEET, though additional entrance exams may be required.

I Have scored 86.4518945 Percentile in jee main2025. i am belongs to SC catogory . my home station is KERALA. Shall i get CS at NIT CALICUT

kumardurgesh1802 11th Feb, 2025

Hello aspirant,

With 86.45 percentile in JEE Main 2025 and SC category , your expected rank would be around 55,000–60,000 (CRL) and 4,000–5,000 (SC rank) .

For NIT Calicut (CS branch) , the SC category closing rank in previous years was around 1,500–2,000 . Since your SC rank might be above 4,000 , getting CSE at NIT Calicut seems difficult . However, you may get other branches like Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical .

Advice : Wait for official cutoffs, check CS in newer NITs or other top GFTIs.
