Is delhi schooling state quota help in jee mains rank

Prachi Kumari 3rd Feb, 2025

Hello,

The Delhi state quota helps in JEE Main admissions for colleges in Delhi but not in JEE Mains rank. Here’s how:

  1. 85% Home State Quota – Delhi students get 85% reservation in government colleges like DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW.
  2. Lower Cutoff – The cutoff for Delhi candidates is generally lower than for outsiders.
  3. Eligibility – Students must have passed Class 12 from a recognized school in Delhi.
  4. No Effect on Rank – It does not directly impact JEE Main rank but improves admission chances.
  5. Private Colleges – Some private colleges also have state quota benefits

Hope it helps !

i got 195 marks in jee mains 22 january 2nd shift. how many percentile i have to expect???

Vanshika Agarwal 3rd Feb, 2025

Firstly congratulations on getting such wonderful marks.

See, an exact number for marks cannot be given as a lot of things like number of candidates, difficulty of the paper and also reservation has to be taken into account for it, however we can give you a rough estimate on how much you will receive, it is expected that since you have received 195 in JEE Mains held on 22nd January 2nd shift, you will receive a percentile above 99, you can also use the Career360 rank predictor, link is given below.

All the best

Hi.we have not opted for scribe in jee session 1 2025 but wishes to opt for second session. The form is not showing that option.can you please guide .

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Feb, 2025

Hello Shivani,

If you did not opt for a scribe during JEE Main 2025 Session 1 but wish to do so for Session 2, and the application form does not provide this option, you can follow these steps:

  1. Review Eligibility Criteria : Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for availing a scribe. According to the guidelines, candidates with benchmark disabilities such as blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected), and cerebral palsy are eligible for a scribe, subject to the production of a certificate stating the necessity of a scribe.

  2. Contact NTA Helpdesk :

    • Reach out to the National Testing Agency (NTA) directly to request assistance in updating your application to include the scribe facility.

    • Email : jeemain@nta.ac.in
    • Helpline Numbers : 011-40759000 / 011-69227700

  3. Prepare Necessary Documentation :

    • Obtain a valid disability certificate from a recognized medical authority, specifying your disability and the requirement for a scribe.

    • Be ready to present this certificate during the examination for verification purposes.

  4. Stay Updated : Regularly check the official JEE Main website and your registered email for any updates or instructions from NTA regarding your request.

By following these steps promptly, you can ensure that the necessary accommodations are arranged for your JEE Main 2025 Session 2 examination.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

I appeared for the JEE Main 2025 exam on January 28, Shift 1, which was the toughest. I belong to the SC category and am a resident of Madhya Pradesh. I am scoring 55 marks in this paper. Can I get admission to SGSITS College Indore in the CSE or Mechanical branch?

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Feb, 2025

Hello Manish,

With a score of 55 marks in JEE Main 2025 and considering your SC category, getting admission to SGSITS Indore for CSE or Mechanical might be challenging, especially for the more competitive branches like CSE. The cutoff ranks for these branches tend to be higher.

However, since you belong to the SC category, you may have some advantage in the counseling process. For a more accurate prediction, you will need to check the previous year's cutoff trends for these branches in SGSITS, which can give you an idea of whether your score will meet the eligibility.

It’s recommended to stay updated on the official counseling process and apply accordingly, as some seats might be available in these branches based on the category quota.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

What if my rank is between 3000-10000 in JEE advanced

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Feb, 2025

Hello there,

If your JEE Advanced rank is between 3000-10000 , you have a chance to get admission to top IITs , though the options might be limited to certain branches and newer IITs. Here’s what to expect:

  1. IITs you might consider :

    • Some of the older IITs (like IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Patna, etc.) could offer branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering .

    • Newer IITs (like IIT Dharwad, IIT Ropar, etc.) may also have Computer Science, Electrical Engineering , or Mechanical Engineering depending on their cutoffs.

  2. Popular Branches : Highly popular branches like Computer Science and Electronics may be out of reach, but branches like Civil, Metallurgy, or Mechanical are still possible.

  3. Other Options : You can also consider applying for Dual Degree programs in various IITs which might have a slightly lower cutoff.

  4. Counseling : During the JoSAA counseling , you'll get a chance to opt for preferred IITs and branches, but your rank may limit some options.

Stay updated with the JoSAA counseling process for seat allocation and keep your preferences in mind while filling the options.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

i have attempted jee mains session 1 2025 and now i tried to register in session 2 2025 but it is showing these credentials already exist what should i do ?????????

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Feb, 2025

Hello Rakesh,

If you're seeing the message "These credentials already exist" while trying to register for JEE Main Session 2 2025, it means your account has already been created during the first session registration. You don’t need to create a new account for the second session.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Login to the Existing Account : Use the same login credentials (email/phone number and password) you used for Session 1 to log in to your account.

  2. Fill the Form for Session 2 : Once logged in, you can proceed to fill out the form for JEE Main Session 2. You may need to update some details (like exam center preferences, etc.) and make the payment if required.

  3. Reset Password : If you've forgotten your login credentials, you can use the "Forgot Password" option on the login page to reset it.

Ensure that the information you provide for the second session is accurate and updated. If you're still facing issues, you can contact JEE Main helpdesk for assistance.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Vanshika Agarwal 3rd Feb, 2025

Yes, it's possible to make corrections to your JEE Main application for Session 2, even if you missed the correction window for Session 1.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) typically opens a correction window for each session of JEE Main. This allows candidates to rectify any mistakes or update information in their application forms.

Correction Window Dates: The correction window for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 was open from March 6th to March 7th, 2024.

How to Make Corrections: You could access the correction portal through the official JEE Main website (jeemain.nta.ac.in) and make the necessary changes.

Fields that can be Corrected: Generally, you can correct details like your name, father's/mother's name, date of birth, gender, category, etc. However, there might be specific restrictions on what you can change.
