Hi,
Your rank is too much. You might get a private college that too not so good from the counselling. So better see other colleges also in different regions as well.

yes, you should upgrade in WBNUJS kolkata,NLIU Bhopal,NLU Jodhpur,GNLU Gandhinager etc. anywhere you feel comfortable ,you should upgrade.

Hello,
The chances of getting NITs is quite low but you can still try till 7th round of counselling as there might some chances at the end.
Apart from it you can try for top private colleges through state counselling as your chances are quite high to get top private
