First of all congratulations on such a good rank in TANCA Merit list for GATE. You should not worry at all you can get anything you want in any college under Anna University. At your rank there is no questioning, you should very comfortably get VLSI in CEG.

The AIIMS test Cut off varies according to the Category, Difficulty level of the test, the topper score or rank and the requirement of Medical college. I think you must apply for the Open Counseling program as you said above that one must not miss the dates.
