Hello aspirant

The amount of energy required to remove the constituent ions from Crystal lattice to an infinite distance is reffered as Lattice energy or Lattice enthalpy.

788 kJ of energy is required to separate Na+ and Cl- ions from one mole of NaCl . So for NaCl Lattice dissociation enthalpy is 787 kJ mole¹ .

For NaCl amount of Lattice formation enthalpy is -787 kJ mol¹

A girl leaves her home every day at 10:00 am and reaches office at 11 am. one day she leaves home at normal time and travelled the first half of the distance at the 2/3 of her original speed, at what speed should she travel at the 2nd half so that she reaches office on time.

Sk Student Expert 20th May, 2020

Hi

She'll at 9.25 am. She'll take 85 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

regular speed is x/ninety kms consistent with minute.

1/three of the gap is travelled in three/four of the speed. therefore time taken is 40 mts. 2/3 is travelled

in 45 mts. therefore 85 mts.

Hope it helps

in fraunhofer diffraction pattern slit width is 0.2mm and screen is at 2m away from the lens if wavelength of light used is 5000A then the distance between the first minimum on either side of the central maximum is

Smrity 19th Apr, 2020

Hey,

We know that,

the distance between the first 2 minimum of either side of the central maximum is equal to 2 lambda D/ d

where,

it is given that,

d=0.2mm

D= 2 m

lambda=5000A

is,

= (2*5*10^3*10^-10*2)/(2*10^-1*10^-3)

=10*(10^-7/10^-4)

=10^-2 m

which is the required answer.

I hope this helps.

All the best!

what is the meaning of angular distance.

Shiksha 4th Apr, 2020

Hello!

As per the dictionary meaning:

the angular separation between two objects as perceived by an observer is called angular distance.

In mathematics- the angular distance between 2 point objects, as observed from a location different from either of these objects, is the size of the angle between the two directions originating from the observer and pointing towards these two objects. Angular distance is thus synonymous to angle itself.

I hope this helps.
