Velocity is change in distance by change in time.

the ratio of the speed of P and Q is 4:5 . P takes 20 minutes more than Q to reach the destination. if P had doubled his speed , he would have covered the distance in how many minutes?

Hello aspirant,

Let, Q takes x min to complete the distance.

P takes (20+x)min to complete the distance.

As for both the distance is same,

4*(20+x)=5x

x=80

q takes 80min to complete.

If p doubles his speed then the speed ratio becomes 8:5
