As far as ECE Students are not eligible to pursue Mtech(Energy Studies) in IIT Bombay.The Candidate with B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc(Engg) in Mech/Electrical/Chemical/Aero/Thermal/Auto/Agri/Mett.Engg are eligible to continue their Mtech(Energy Studies) through Valid GATE Score.

With this rank it will be next to impossible task to get into NIFT's for Bfetch course ( Considering General).
I am saying on the last year basis as the least preferred NIFT was Kannur and the closing rank was around 550.
