If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or masters degree in science department are applicable for GATE Exam.There is no marks criteria.

so if you have master degree in any science department(chemistry/physics etc.,) ,you are eligible for gate.

there is no big eligibility for arts and science , what you need is the good marks on your 10th and 12th grade from standard board  ( board - school may be cbse/state board/matriculation ).
