There is no issue to it as you have a backlog that wont count if your back gets cleared by the time you pass out and get yourself a good College for the mtech or any psu through gate. The most important thing is to clearly clear the gate exam

Hello aspirant,

In your case, yes, you will be ineligible. You will be considered a general category candidate and the cut off percentage for the general category is 50% aggregate in physics, chemistry and biology. You need to produce proper documents to be considered a obc candidate. Good luck!
