If you will get above 650+ marks then you can definitely have cmc vellore but it also depend on other students marks and difficult of exam. 

Last year the opening marks for cmc vellore for general category were 595 and for obc it was 499.

To do self prepration,  first of all complete your 11th and 12th standard ncert text books throughly. Then go for reference books of different writers like Pradeep,Agarwal,etc.
