no you are exempted to pay fee amount of fee while  for SC/ST category students the fees would be around 10–12k each semester along with mess fees of 25–28k per semester.

There is two fee structure for the Thiagarajar College of Engineering. 

One is for self-financed which is 70,000 for one year.

And for aided the course fee is 9700 for a year.
