I think if we compare both branches of engineering then ECE had more scope of government jobs as compared to CSE.
CSE jobs are mostly in private sector companies. There companies like Google microsoft, Infosys,TCS etc which are all private. The package depends on the college and your capabilities.

You should go for Integrated M.Tech at VIT as it will have better job opportunities. Yes, you will have to give one year extra but that will be totally worth, because you will be completing two degrees together at the end of 5 years.
