Hi, Basically candidate with a graduation degree can apply. You must also have scores of MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT, or GRE. Students can also apply via scores of the university level exam- PESSAT and PGCET. So this is how they are related. Good Luck.

How many medical colleges are available through neet 2017?

Hi,

Well as per data available by the medical board of India, there are nearly 500 medical colleges in all over India accounting for a total of 60000 seats in MBBS in the whole if India. Since neet is going to be the only exam for admission into medical courses, all the colleges will have to accept the score except for Aiims and jipmer.

You should focus on government college first. There are some private institutes which offer a low fees like-CMC Vellore, St. John, Comedk and Datta Megha Institute. Be thorough with NCERT (Physics, Chemistry and especially, Biology) books of 11and 12 standard, Solve previous year questions papers, Focus on important areas like- **Physics**- Mechanics, Optics, Thermodynamics and Nuclear physics. **Chemistry**- Mole concept, General organic chemistry, Periodic table, Chemical bonding, Coordination chemistry. **Biology-** Ecology and environment, Genetics, Cell Biology, Morphology of plants and animals, Reproduction in plants and animals, Physiology of plants and animals, Basics of Biotechnology Try to solve as many mcqs for your practice and also solve complete mock test series.

Private colleges will take admission through NEET exam only. Try to score more than 450 marks to get admission in private colleges and more than 510 marks to get admission in govt. medical colleges.

Yes, No state will conduct their entrance exam they will take admission through NEET exam only counseling will be conduct separately.

@Nishita: CAT will get you admission in IIM's and other private universities as well. So Except IIM's to apply in other institutes you will have to fill up there forms as well.
