If you're comparing CSE specifically, I'd give Thapar the edge. Chandigarh University has a very large placement drive and plenty of recruiters, but Thapar has generally reported a higher median B. Tech package and has a stronger engineering reputation. If fees are not a major issue, I'd pick Thapar CSE.
