i am studying in 4 sem of bpharmacy as i want to start my preparation for gpat but i am totally confused how to start and in which way i could start my preparation as its. onplicatwd for me to separate the questions plz help me

hey akshit

here is how you can ace your Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT),

  • focus on getting their basic concepts clear. If the foundation is not strong enough, difficult topics will get more difficult.
  • practice numerical questions every day. Topics like alligation method, depression in freezing point, dose on the basis of body weight and age, and biopharmaceutics are commonly assessed in the form of numericals. Make formulae sheets or flash cards and revis regularly. if you know them by heart, problems are bound to get easy.
  • NMR spectroscopy, Mass spectrometry, IR and UV have been frequently covered in the previous years’ question papers. put greater emphasis on these while preparing.
  • Make your own version of notes for everything. it will be very handy for revision or in the last minute.Pharmacognosy can be understood in detail with short notes and flashcards on uses, mechanisms and unique side effects of various drugs.
  • If you are lost or starting the prep late  preparation lateconcentrate on Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharm Analysis, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutical chemistry (especially Organic chemistry) first and then move on to other subjects.

I took admission in a BDS college in Bangalore,2019 but for some medical issues I couldnt continue my study more than 1 weak and now i take preparation for neet 2020.my question is can I continue my bds course on that college in this year season with my previous marksheet as a 1st year drop student

Yastika Kumar 15th Feb, 2020

Hi Risit,

Due to some medical issues you have to leave college within one week of your admission then there are tough chances that they will be going to accept your candidature again as one week is not such a long tenure (to be more specific 5-6 days only as Saturday and Sunday are off). In 2020 you want to resume BDS from same college then it is better if you have a word with the college authorities and explain your scenario because your duration as a student is so short that they might have automatically cancelled your candidature if you had not informed them before taking break.

Is Errorless Good For Jee Preparation

Shubhangi sinha 6th Jan, 2020

Hello Trance,

It is good for problem solving but try to give priority to NCERT books

It is good for the fundamentals. But solve questions from this book after you are done with the NCERT books.

You can refer to some of the books for your preparation. These are -

For chemistry NCERT book is a must.

First Clear all your basic concepts from NCERT, after that for organic and inorganic follow Morrison and Boyd and JD Lee respectively but read only those topics which are mentioned in NCERT.

Books For problem-solving

physical chemistry- N Avasthi,

Organic chemistry- M S conceptChauhan.

For physics clear the concepts deeply, try to learn behind the scene of all concept.

Try to Solve each and every question of HC Verma by your self.

For mathematics you can refer to IIT Mathematics for JEE Main and Advanced by ML Khanna.

RD Sharma Mathematics for Class 11 and 12.

Solving previous year questions is must.

Good luck,

Hope it helps :)

if i am doing last minute preparation what should i do to secure atleast 120 marks in jee

jishua thomas 5th Jan, 2020

hello nikhitha..,

At this last moment, don't try to attempt to study any new topic. Reading new topics will confuse you during the exam. Instead of reading new topics, students are advised to revise all the important formulae and concepts two to three times before the exam. Especially with just a few days left before the exam, you cannot revise and solve everything in the syllabus of JEE Advanced. You need to handpick things and focus there. At the same time, you need to brush up the whole syllabus .

Here are 10 things you should be doing in the last few days before the exam..

  1. Get organized.
  2. Create a revision timetable.
  3. Study smarter.
  4. Practice past exam questions.
  5. Learn what you don't know.
  6. Get your mock paper out. ...
  7. Know the layout of the paper.
  8. Eat, drink and exercise.

hope this information was useful to you...

all the best for your exams..
