whats a safe percentile/ marks for a student of OBC category to get reputed NITs with branches like IT, Electronics and Electrical ? My college prediction will be done on basis of OBC rank or the general rank, Im confused because I was told some colleges do not accept category ranking?

Almost all NITs and IITs accept category ranking so you dont have to worry about that. For general category a score of 180 or above should be decent enough to get into a decent NIT for electricals. You may also get computed science in a few of them.

Well I would like to tell you that as soon as the state counseling starts, you will have to register there. After the registration ends then after few days the counseling body will release a list of all the registered students with their state rank and then accordingly colleges
