These include NTPC, BHEL, GAIL, MDL, VIZAG, STEEL and SAIL. Although mechanical students are preferred, manufacturing students are also given chance.

PSU's in India consider GATE marks in addition to your CGPA in your Btech, so you should have enough CGPA to be eligible for a PSU. Secondly, after qualifying gate, you have to give the interview, for which you will called if you have sufficient marks in GATE. So

Definitely you are eligible for giving gate exam.But for PSU'S you need to clear gate exam with a good rank i.e. less than 700-800 rank in each Branch.If you want a psu.

dear aspirant,hope you are doing well.now coming to your question,As of now only DRDO have announced the opening for Aerospace Branch. Others have not announced anything yet related to that.this data provided is few months old,so keep checking for some new psu that hire aerospace engineering students through GATE.

One can get a job in PSU'S through GATE Score or direct recruitment process by the Company. Through GATE one must get minimum 70 marks to get PSU and it varies according to category. The Average salary package for a fresher is 8 lakhs per annum.

According to me, this solely depends on your interests. GATE is a very prestigious exam and you can apply to various PSU through your GATE score, such as BHAIL, GAIL, IOC, SAIL. These organisation have a very good reputation and are considered as dream companies by some people.
There is no restriction on the number of GATE attempts on the basis of caste and age. An aspirant belonging to any category, be it SC, ST, OBC or General can enroll and appear as many times as they desire. There are even many lecturers/professors who appear in GATE to
it is difficult to analyse marks as vancies are unknown,so ranks are better option ,still concidering marks In case of general category 85+ =100%chance.
82+ = 90%chance.
79 to 82 = 50 to 70% chances.
based on rank:
below 150- 200 = 100%chances.
between 150- 300 = 70 % chances
