It does not matter when you did your training. Its good atleast you did it successfully. PSUs consider GATE scores only and your learning experience in UG years. You can ofcourse apply for GATE exam and try to get a job in one of the best PSUs of the nation.

Yes the PSU's in india like IOCL,ONGC,BPCL offer 7 digit salary to chemical/mechanical/electrical engineers who qualify gate with a decent rank especially those who are between 1-200.
Because these PSU's come in the category of 'Maharatna Companies' so they stop sending call letters around 200 rank.

Yes. Your daughter is eligible to write Karnataka CET. You can write a exam of any state. It does not depend on whether you are a localite or not. But she will not be given the local benefit for admission as her domicile is not of Karnataka.
