Varied factors are taken into account by different institutes while they determine the GATE Mechanical cutoff. Each institute has different  GATE cutoff

 to get a call from psu youe gate score is not up to the mark. however you may apply in new iits, iit roorkee, patna, gandhinagar, and also in nit sikkim, nit bhopal, nit bhopal etc. you can also apply in jadavpur university,IIEST shivpur. HOWEVER some institute take entrance
