This year the paper for EE was a little bit easy.so the rank must be low with this rank.you may have a rank around 2k to2.5k.with this rank you have a low chance for PSUs you can check your possible colleges and PSUs here

This year level of gate paper for ECE was relatively same in comaprison with previous years.So cuttoff marks will be same as of previous years.This marks will provide you score around 740.740 is not enough for getting PSUs call letter you need at least 800 score.You may get IITs

Congratulations to you for obtaining such a marks. Your raw score would be almost 526 and corresponding rank would lie between 4237-5437. There is no chance to call from PSUs but you can explore your career opportunities in some NITs, IIITs and top state level colleges.

To get a call from PSU you should have scored more than 75.But still there is an option .You may apply to PSUs.There is no issue ,if you haven't got any call.

But you can apply to different PSUs which are taking their own exams like:

BARC,ISRO,BSNL,AFCAT,TATA STeel and there are many more.

In PSUs or IITs there is a significant CGPA barrier which you have to cross if you want to join them.CGPA is aggregate of all semester's sgpa divide by no of semester.so whole first year to last year's sgpa will be aggregate.
