As you've not mentioned any category so I would let you know the criteria assuming you belong to the General category. 526 is a good score to get in any government college especially under the state domicile. The chances are good, just choose wisely.

At this rank, you won't get any branch in HBTU Kanpur. Though you should apply, you might get something but it's chances are really less. So, I would suggest you to keep your other options ready. You can also apply for private colleges that accept JEE Main's rank.
