With this rank you should be getting admission in most of the NIT and IIIT if branch is not important. However, even if branch is an ossue you should still be able to get a decent NIT or IIIT through JOSAA counselling. You can also try for other private colleges

As JEE advanced admits the students to IIT. It has absolutely no corelation with the NIT's/IIIT's and hence it does even accepts the JEE mains scorecard.

Yes you can surely get an IIT. I am not sure about the old 8 IITs but you can get into IITs like IIT dharwad. However, fill the preferences as you want them to be because the counseling process can be really quite unpredictable.
