this year cut off for SC is 74.31 for JEE MAINS 2019 and last year it was 29 marks. So competetion is tough but just keep yourself updated.

but i would suggest you to score more in order to get a good college. be in top 500 ranks

You can definitely try  and chances are fair enough. And your caste reservation can add up some benefits for admission. Also you require a minimum of 50% at the 10+2 level with physics, chemistry, maths/biology. You can check from.the college predictor as well to know about the probable colleges.

Well om you are having 640 category rank in NIMCET. Which is quite a good rank. I guess the category is OBC category.

So now if I consider previous year closing rank of different nit's then I find that in OBC category with the rank you have you will get
