Yes, you are eligible for engineering admission in Maharashtra. Here's how:
You got 52% overall in HSC, which meets the minimum requirement (45% for general and 40% for reserved categories).
Even though your PCM is 41%, in Maharashtra CET admissions, Electronics is often considered as an optional subject in place of Chemistry, especially if the course allows it. That gives you 47% in PCM with Electronics, which many colleges will accept.
Your 93 percentile in MHT CET (PCM group) is a strong score. With this percentile, you have a good chance of getting into decent engineering colleges in Maharashtra. You may get branches like IT, CSE, or E&TC in private colleges and possibly in a few government-aided ones too.
Colleges you may target include: VIT Pune PCCOE Pune Sinhgad Institutes Thakur College of Engineering, Mumbai Ramrao Adik Institute, Navi Mumbai KJ Somaiya (for some branches depending on cutoffs)
Final admission will depend on the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds, your category (if any), and preferences filled.

Dear student,
If you're a female candidate with 265 marks in NEET 2025 applying to ASCOMS Jammu under the Hindu Minority Quota, chances of getting a seat are quite low. In 2024, most students admitted under this quota had scores above 300, with many even crossing 400. While a few rare cases were admitted with lower marks, those are exceptions and not the norm.
The cutoff for 2025 is expected to stay close to last year’s trend. ASCOMS is a competitive private college, and even for minority quotas, cutoffs don’t usually fall this low. A score of 265 is below what’s typically needed.
You may want to explore other private colleges with lower cutoffs or consider repeating NEET for a better score. Keep an eye on official updates from JKBOPEE for any changes in the cutoff trends.
Hello,
Indeed, you are allowed to alter your category from General to OBC during state counseling, as long as you truly belong to the OBC category acknowledged by your state and possess a legitimate OBC certificate issued by an appropriate authority.
Although you applied in the General category on the NEET application and your results indicate that, state counselling is organized independently by state officials, who typically permit candidates to register with their accurate and updated category during the counselling registration phase.
To accomplish this, you need to generate a valid OBC certificate in the required format, typically dated within a designated period (commonly within one year prior to counseling). If your caste is acknowledged as OBC in your state and you satisfy the Non-Creamy Layer requirements, your application ought to be approved during the verification at the state level.
In conclusion, you can change to the OBC category in state counselling only, not in AIQ, provided you have the appropriate documentation. Ensure to visit the official website of your state's counselling authority for precise dates, formats, and certification requirements.
Hope this helps. All the best!
