Now the cut offs are different every Category, every College and every State. The cut offs also differ from All India Counselling to State Counselling. Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. Or else the only other option is through Management Quota.Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through Direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. So for a General Category Student the score should be nothing less than 600.

Shubham Kumar Gupta 29th Aug, 2019
Hello Lokesh, Greetings!
IITs accept application form for M.tech of any general category candidate only if they have secure above 8.0 CGPA in their qualifying exam.
For SC/ST candidate above 6.25 CGPA is also acceptable.
Also, for NITS, the candidates should have a qualifying degree and should have secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or 60% for OC/OB candidates. SC/ST/PwD candidates should have secured 6.0 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or 55%.
If you are a general category candidate then you are not eligible for admission in M.tech in any of the IITs or NITs.

gudduchaini Student Expert 28th Aug, 2019
Hi vivek ,
To be franl to score 180 plus its necessary for you to learn your 11th as well as 12th syllabus properly because with 180 plus marks you can get admission into some of the prestigious nits with core branches so it would not be a cake walk . So plan properly your 12th sylaabus and with this manage time to cover your 11th syllabus too the person who score 180 or 200 plus in jee mains never ever depends on any one year of syllabus .( This is the truth .)

Hope it helps!!

If we score more 95% is Pu2 boards and good score in NEET examination then do we have the same fee? Or do we have some discount in our fees?

Ashish Pal Student Expert 28th Aug, 2019

Hello farheen.

Let me clarify you that your 10+2 score and neet score are just to provide you college . They have nothing to do with fees. 10+2 marks are just for your eligibility and Neet score is to determine your ranking so that college can be allocated on that basis.

Fees is similar for all the students in a college but fee structure of private vs government college surely vary a lot..

Ok good luck

Minimum marks needed in neet for an obc candidate to get chance in a government medical college ?

Anurag pal Student Expert 28th Aug, 2019

hey dear, the cutoff for neet varies from year to year and no. of students participated in the exam, therefore it is slighlty difficult to give you the exact figure for an obc candidate.Following this year's cutoff in All india quota a candidate with marks above 530 under obc were provided govt. seat and in state quota it was around 400.So,for a govt. seat try to score above 550 to secure a decent seat.
