The only disadvantage due to the low score in the 12th percentage is that you will not be eligible for admission in nits through the jee mains. But there are several other institutions that give more quality education, facility and placements and moreover good scholarships than the nits.

To get admission in IITs,NITs and CFTIs candidate should have at least 75% marks minimum in class 12, 65% for SC/ST student. But for all other private colleges accepting admission on jee mains result there is no restrictions on the marks so I think you should look out for admission
