Scope
If you like Biology or if you have no resistance towards it, you will love this particular branch. Tremendous opportunities for research activities. There is some exposure towards industrial activities as well. Regarding placements, you don't have many options if you want to stick to the same field. But, if you would like to go towards non-core jobs (finance, economics, consulting, analytics, management, coding), there are numerous options. For non-core, you are considered equal to any other branch student.

Hello Surya.
Congratulations on securing this rank.
Well in engineering you will be getting some or the other application of physics at some point so you can't really expect that you won't be dealing with physics at all in this 4 year course. Streams like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics require the major application of Physics mostly so you should not go for these streams.
You can opt for streams like CSE, Biotech, Chemical, Food technology for a reduced application of Physics. As far as scope is concerned, every stream has scope if not in India then abroad and if you are good in your stream, there will be no end to the amount of scope available. I would suggest you to research about these streams and conclude which one interests you more and which according to you has more scope or will yield better opportunity for you. You will be the best judge as it is you who will be dealing with everything at the end of the day.
Also, you can visit https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/tnea-cutoff to get information regarding the cutoffs of different colleges and branches in the previous years and shortlist the ones where you can get admission with your rank. Having said that, I will also say that the cutoffs vary every year depending on the number of candidates, their rank, the number of seats available, etc.

Hey Aspirant,
With India’s growing economy, you would find plenty of opportunities in production engineering with upcoming factories in the SME sector, as well as MNCs entering the market, else you can even look at related industries like the IT industry, the telecom industry etc. Production engineers are employed in engineering offices, in industrial, trading and professional associations, and in the civil service, for example, in trade and industry supervision offices or in industrial and employee safety offices. You may also work as a freelance in sales or consultancy. Self employment opportunities are also available as consultants or specialists in methods and work operation usually after suitable years of industrial experience. You can also join private consultancy firms, R&D establishments of big companies or as purchase engineers and technical sales managers.
Hii,The subjects you have mentioned are totally unrelated. However, the prospects of a job post an undergraduate course are not very encouraging. Unfortunatey in India, an undergradute degree is considered as a base qualifier for applying for post graduate professional certification or degree programmes. Not that you would not land up a job post your under graduation, however you would need more to make a career and move up the ladder.
