Dear Aspirant,
There is not much difference in academic area of both course...only difference is regular students will get Government Scholarships for every semester and for self supporting you will not get any scholarship except scheduled caste students.

Normal course is of 4 years and SS is of five years

Hi Prabh,

To study in Canada you need to give TOEFL and IELTS exam. In Canada you can pursue UG degree in management , engineering , science , design etc to name a few.

Both the branches have equivalent scope in their respective fields. As far as electronics and computer engineering is concerned, there are more core companies available for electronics branch than that of electrical branch. But at the end your motive is an IT company then both are equivalent.

Girls don't have any reservation in NITs yet.In IITs they get according to MHRD.

So you will get college on the basis of All India Rank.You haven't scored enough to get NITs/IIITs and GFTIs .So you can try for state engineering colleges.

I personally don't recommend to pursue Petroleum engineering as your Bachelor's degree. Always pursue your bachelor's degree in core sector, so that you can have strong back up.
