My gate 2020 score is 622 (Marks are 54.67) and AIR 1898 in electrical engineering and category OBC-NCL. which college should i apply for. Is there a slightest chance for any good IIT? my branch prefference is VLSI.

Hello Aspirant,

You have a chance at IITs. However you might not get the top stream there. As the cut off for every stream differs. You can also try out at the new IITs with VLSI as your preference. You have a nice chance at NITs as well.

Anamika, in 2019, under State Quota, the cut off ranks for SC Category for the 2 colleges have been as follows:

IGMC: 73505

PMCH: 61123

see cutoff score for psu hirings changes every year and it depends on various factors like number of participants, vacancy of seats, questions difficulty level etc. now psus like ongc, iocl, bpcl have some vacancy for chemistry msc degree holders but there is no surety that this year also

The admissions in National institute of technology(NITs) is done through Joint Entrance examination(JEE) main score while you can get seats in Indian institute of technology(IITs) through joint entrance examination advanced(JEE advanced) score. So yes it is possible to get seat in NITs through JEE mains score.
