Revising from R. D. Sharma and NCERT is quite sufficient to get a good rank in JEE Mains but if you are confident enough about answering the questions in these two books then you can move on to S. K. Goyal and practice some new pattern problems there.

Not compulsory to appear for all subjects. Students can choos eone or more subjects where they have received compartment or are unsatisfactory with score obtained and simultaneously wish to appear for improvement. 

However students can appear only in succeeding year of passing 12th which is one time opportunity and should

PCM will be mandatory alongwith one additional language subject and any on eof other remaining two papers  

Marks will be scaked up or down to 100 to calculate best 5marks for top 20 percentile.
