My answer will be It depends upon which category you belong to. If it's general, you will need atleast 198. If it's BC then 196 and 194 for BCM. 195 for MBC and 190 for SC/ST. This is just an arbitrary expected cutoff.

As aeronautical and mechanical branches are professional courses of study, apart from JEE Main(or other recognised entrance examination), one should also appear for the entrance examination conducted by the college itself. Selection to these courses is purely based on merit(rank obtained in the entrance test).

The elibility of getting in madras institute of technology aeronautical engineering is 60-70 percent marks in 12th hsc including the physics , chemistry , maths as major subjects.
So if you include major subjects and you got 60percent then you are eligible .

the most important tool and basic software you need to learn is MATLAB,
You should be very strong in MATLAB.
You can learn programming laguages like- C and C++.
A course in software like ANSYS CFX that will develop Computational Skills.
