Aeronautical engineering and aerospace engineering both are different branches and field. Aeronautical Engineering is the study of aircraft that operates within the earth's atmosphere while Aerospace engineering focuses on designing of both aircraft and spacecraft . Aerospace Engineering also deals with study of all the space crafts used within
SSC-CGL requires bachelor degree from any recognised Institute. It doesn't ask for specific branch. So if you are doing Graduation in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognised Institute then you are eligible to apply for SSC -CGL. Same goes for other government exams like UPSC-Civil Services, UPSC-CAPF ,etc.
