Is there any job for Aerospace engineer at ISRO ? How to apply for ISRO ?

ARYAN SAGAR 22nd Sep, 2020
Dear student,

If you have completed your aerospace engineering than for joining ISRO or any other psu, you have to secure a good score in GATE Entrance Exam. GATE is a very highly competitive exam which tests your technical skills and in depth knowledge in your area. If you have a good GATE score then you can apply for ISRO from their website.

ISRO also take their own tests and you can apply it from their official site. You can apply for isro by the last of September as the registrations date are extended of recruitment for the post of controller in human space flight centre ( HSFC) at Bangalore.
Also the RECRUITMENT OF TECHNICIAN-B / DRAUGHTSMAN-B / TECHNICAL ASSISTANT is open. You can apply it online.

And remember that aerospace engineers are very demanding and in isro you will get a very good job.

But also note that there are not much vacancies. They take many less students from aerospace engineering. And their vacancies doesn't come regularly.

what are all the softwares to be learned by an aerospace engineer?

Shatakshi Gupta 24th Jul, 2020
Hello candidate,
An aerostructural analysis engineer have to learn Nastran/Patran, Ansys, OEM customised or developed softwares.

A design engineer would use softwares like CATIA, Solid Works.

A CFD engineer Ansys Fluent, Star CCM, etc.

A controls Engineer would use Matlab/Simulink .

There could be many more according to the specialized field of the engineer. So the softwares used by an aerospace engineer completely depends on the domain of work they are into.

Hope that helps thank-you.

what is the scope for aerospace engineer in future market?is it ok to prefer it above cs nd civil engineering?what would be the job oppurtunities in india nd abroad?is amity university a better option other than the iits to pursue this course?

Ayushranjan Swain 18th Aug, 2020

Hi Abhigyan,

It's a great choice. The scope of aerospace engineering is great because it is reputed and dream job of many. Also aircraft manufacturing companies like Airbus are ready to startup their business in India. Also cs and civil engineering have different merits and each one has their own scope in future. It's nothing to compare one with another. Job opportunities does not depend on the branch but it depends upon the skill you have. Amity University is best in its own leg .IIT 's cannot be comparable with any of the universities .
